"I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. I filled countless hours with drawing since around age 8. Ceramics had always been a medium I gravitated to, and have collected many works created by artist friends over the years. When a friend offered a ceramics class to me as payment for a drawing, I jumped at the chance. Once my hands began to manipulate the clay, I was hooked.
A painter turned sculptor, my animals are each glazed lovingly with rich color that compliments the various textures stamped or formed on the surface. In addition, elements like copper wire, horse shoe nails, or natural wood twigs may embellish some of the pieces to give a unique and more organic character."
